For events, particularly author events, we kindly ask for at least one month’s notice in advance of the potential event date—this affords us enough buffer time to order any additional inventory that we may need.
Bulk Purchases
We are more than happy to work with you on your bulk purchases for your educational needs, book clubs, corporate events, and more! Please send us an email at info@callandresponsechi.com and be sure to provide us the number of books you need and the date you need them by. Please be sure to give us at least 4 weeks’ advance notice to ensure we are able to fulfill your order in time. Thank you!
For Authors
Thank you so much for your interest in sharing your work with Call & Response Books! It’s an honor to hear that you would like to partner with us to sell your book. Before emailing us, please review the below information:
We ask that all authors interested in partnering with our store submit their information through our author inquiry form. If you are self-published, please note that we are only able to stock titles that are available for wholesale purchase through Ingram. Additionally, at this time we are prioritizing authors who are local to the Chicagoland area. We will not stock or sell books containing AI-generated illustrations or AI-generated text.
Please do not drop off or mail unsolicited copies of your book at the shop! We will not review any materials that are mailed unsolicited to the shop. We are a small storefront with limited shelf and storage space, which means we cannot accept unsolicited book drop-offs or mailings. Our limited space also unfortunately means that we cannot stock every book for which we receive an inquiry, but we will do our best to get back to everyone as soon as possible.
We are a small but mighty team here, which requires these boundaries and processes. We appreciate your patience!
